Our history

Bow In The Cloud was chosen from names submitted in reply to a competition run by columnist Godfrey Smith in the Sunday Times. Readers were asked to suggest names for a house at Noah’s Ark. The winning suggestion is a quote from Genesis. More recently readers were asked to suggest names for wines produced in the vineyard. The winning suggestions were Arkadian (variety) for single varietals and Cloud Nine for blends.

Here are some interesting articles concerning our history, such as the menu used for the visit of HM The Queen in 2001, when our wines were used, along with comments on some noteworthy vintages. There is also information concerning our locality and its relevance to USA history and some fun pictures of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall tasting our wines.
